_{"Having been a volunteer for three years,  I have seen a great improvement in some of the children,  one of the good things is seeing how they change as time goes by.  I like working with the other volunteers and staff and have made some good friends.  When I first started I had very little experience with  horses but I really enjoy working with them.  The horses all have different characters, some better than others, but all are very docile."  Colin}

"I enjoy attending the RDA in Whangarei and look forward to each Thursday as it is my volunteer day.  If I could, I would come every day.  The staff and other volunteers are friendly and fun to work with.  It's good to be back tending to horses, grooming them, mucking out stables, etc.  Most delightful of all is seeing the children benefit so much from riding and the joy it brings them."
